Sohrab Salimi

Experience

Sohrab is Managing Partner and CEO of Scrum Academy GmbH and has been a Certified Scrum Trainer® of the Scrum Alliance for almost ten years, where he was also a member of the Board of Directors until the end of 2020.

His background as a management consultant at Bain & Company, his later work as Chief Innovation Officer at SE-Consulting, and his medical degree give Sohrab a holistic perspective on people and organizations in agile transformation.

With years of experience, over 10,000 trained participants, multiple agile certifications, Strategyzer Coach accreditation, and numerous e-learning and in-house courses, Sohrab is one of the most experienced and versatile agile trainers in the world.

His long-standing clients include Roche, MAN Truck & Bus, Trivago, Bosch and Allianz.

In addition to live trainings, online courses, in-house trainings and consulting activities, Sohrab also hosts the regular Agile Insights Conversations. In these roundtable discussions, he regularly interviews world-renowned authors, thought leaders and experts on agile topics.

Sohrab also drives the translation of agile literature into German and has already appeared in this activity for the translations of the Geoff Watts books (Product Mastery and Scrum Mastery). He is currently working on making the books on Beyond Budgeting (Bjarte Bogsness) and Radical Focus (Christina Wodtke) available for the German market. A publication is planned for 2023.

Sohrab lives in Cologne with his wife and three children. In his free time, he enjoys sports, reading, cooking, singing and traveling.
